76ers interview Ty Lue for head coaching job, Doc Rivers is next
Talk about full circle, if Ty Lue ends up in Philadelphia, he'll go from being stepped over by 76ers great Allen Iverson, to leading their next generation in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.
Lue has completed his interview for the 76ers head coaching position and it appears this position has some serious competition.
The vacancy will be coming down to either Lue, Mike D'Antoni or newly minted free-agent, Doc Rivers.
For Lue, not only did he answer questions on his basketball philosophies, the team showed him around, including a tour of their practice facility to help steer Lue's interests after the interview. There are multiple teams considering Lue for their next head coach including the Rockets, Pelicans, and Clippers.
Lue's coaching record is 128-83 for a .607 winning % including one championship with the Cavs in 2015 and two other trips to the finals the years after.
From a step over, to stepping in, life comes at you fast.
