Staying or Going: Marc Gasol to play in Spain next season...it appears
Marc Gasol is going home. For how long is anyone's guess at this point.
The Raptors center is apparently on the verge of signing a deal in Spain to play next season according to multiple reports , and is leaving Toronto with a championship ring and a parade full of memories he only remembers through video.
The footage will live forever. The 'Parade MVP' is on his way to play in Spain, from all accounts to be closer to family and is going to ride out his basketball career enjoying the sunsets in Europe. Doesn't sound like a horrible idea.
Toronto Raptors center, Marc Gasol is headed for free-agency, after the Raps were eliminated from the NBA playoffs. While Raptors President, Masai Ujiri, made mention on Thursday it may be hard to fit Gasol in the plans next season, turns out Gasol may not be interested anyways.
Gasol is being rumored to be heading back to Europe, to finish his career with close family and friends. This is according to Xavier Saiso Garcia of Radio Ser Catalunya, Gasol, who mentions is has everything to do with family and very little to do with basketball.
Gasol won a title with the Raptors and was the Championship Parade MVP. He's also been a three-time All-Star, the Defensive Player of the Year, and an All-NBA First Team selection over the course of his 12 year NBA career.

With Marc Gasol set to end his tenure on the @Raptors, a reminder that the year before winning the Championship, he once got on a boat in the Mediterranean to help rescue drowning migrants at sea.

What a run he had in the @nba w/ his incredible years w/ the @memgrizz & the experience/savvy/skill/professionalism he brought to the @Raptors - especially in their 2019 championship run - as well. pic.twitter.com/xm6uuW7LXs
