The NBA is showing Chicago love for hiring Billy Donovan
As we reported earlier this week the Chicago Bulls have named Billy Donovan as their newest head coach. The move was a touch of a surprise as Donovan only left the OKC Thunder a couple of weeks ago. It turns out numerous NBA executives around the league noticed the move and have nothing but love for the Bulls and their decision.
Shortly after Donovan parted ways with the Thunder, the Bulls reached out and were aggressive from the jump. Donovan was thrilled to hear from the Bulls as he loves their young talent and potential for sustainable success. With the likes of Zach LaVine, Wendell Carter and Lauri Markkanen, Donovan sees himself as the perfect fit to motivate and development this core.
Executives across the league are sending their praise to the Bulls and know that Donovan is a special person who will do a great job with the Bulls. His ability to mentor youth and pull from his college days should bode him well with the Bulls.
