Brooklyn Nets Hire Mike D'Antoni as Assistant Coach
As we first reported over two weeks ago, the 'seven seconds or less' reunion is taking place in Brooklyn, as the Brooklyn Nets have announced the team has hired former Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns head coach, Mike D'Antoni.
D'Antoni of course, reunites with Nets head coach, Steve Nash, after Nash played for D'Antoni in Phoenix for four seasons.
The Nash/D'Antoni Suns' teams were never able to get over the hump, so some are questioning this move. D'Antoni has coached 13 seasons in the NBA, and his teams are always near the top for offensive efficiency. With Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, the Nets could be turning their program into a problem for the rest of the NBA.
📰 The Nets have hired Mike D'Antoni and Ime Udoka as assistant coaches and Amar’e Stoudemire as a player development assistant.

This will be Nash's first season as a coach in the NBA and it's obvious he's surrounding himself with some familiar faces to help burden the load.
