Report: T-Wolves Prefer to Trade #1 Pick for Proven Talent
According to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, the Minnesota Timberwolves think potential top-pick LaMelo Ball has all the talent in the world, they just prefer someone from the league.
O'Connor mentions the team is looking to trade down from the #1 pick for a 'win-now' player that has NBA experience:
Executives around the NBA say the Timberwolves prefer to trade down or out of this pick to bring in a win-now player to help Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell
Its being rumored the Timberwolves have been talking to several teams including the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, and New Orleans Pelicans. Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, R.J Barrett and Jrue Holiday all being on their most wanted list.
The T-Wolves haven't won a playoff series since 2003-04 when Kevin Garnett was running show and next year they don't hold a first-round pick because of the Andrew Wiggins trade with the Golden State Warriors.
No wonder it's win-now in Minny!
