Victor Oladipo to the New York Knicks?
The 'Victor Oladipo sweepstakes' is in full swing and even though he was recently quoted saying he hasn't demanded a trade out of Indiana, it's likely the Pacers guard will be wearing a different jersey next year when the season starts. Insert, the New York Knicks.
According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, even though the Knicks have Chris Paul on their radar, Berman sees a better match for the team with Oladipo coming to New York.
Berman adds NBA Officials he's spoken to see Oladipo as the better fit because he's a lot younger than Paul and could be the perfect running mate to RJ Barrett.
The Knicks have a ton of cap space, and they also have a ton of assets to dangle. One NBA personnel suggested the Knicks could move their two first-rounders from Dallas (2021,2023), Julius Randle and Dennis Smith Jr for the 28-year-old Oladipo.
We have a feeling, Spike Lee would approve this move.
The Knicks are going to be active, the Pacers are going to test the market on Victor Oladipo, and if it's New York where he ends up, expect Oladipo to shine under the bright lights of the Big Apple.
