The deal could reach close to $200 million as Adebayo is eligible for the rookie max extension, which is absolutely insane money. Adebayo has cemented himself as one of the premier big men in the NBA and if he was healthy the entire NBA Finals, it's likely the Heat would have given the Los Angeles Lakers a better fight.
The Heat appear to be bringing the band back for another run next season as the team has already re-signed Goran Dragic and Meyers Leonard.
For Adebayo, last season was his first as a permanent starter, and his numbers were legit. He averaged 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.
Keep a close eye on Miami as they are a potential landing spot for some big names next season during the 2021 free agency. If the team is going to bring in another max contract, they will have to move out some salary to do so.
