Brandon Ingram Signs Max Deal to Stay in New Orleans
Brandon Xavier Ingram now has generational money. The All-Star forward has signed a max contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans, and let Ingram be a lesson for us all, patience is a virtue.
Ingram passed on a more modest extension offer a year ago after arriving from Lakers in the Anthony Davis trade. He counted on a bigger role to elevate his performance and earning power, and it did. Ingram earned a Western Conference All-Star berth and now cashes in on max deal. https://t.co/SFLtBdX3p5

The Pelicans are setting themselves up to be a force for years to come as Ingram should only be getting better from here. He joins Zion Williamson, Lonzo Ball, Eric Bledsoe, Steven Adams and JJ Redick to give the Pels a solid rotation.

2021-22 $29,467,800

2023-24 $33,833,400

The 23-year-old Ingram was acquired by the Pelicans in the Anthony Davis trade with the Los Angeles Lakers. Last season the 6'7 swingman averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game, which was a big enough improvement from the previous season for Ingram to take home the Most Improved Player award.
Expect to see Ingram near the top of the NBA scoring leaders for years to come and along with Zion Williamson, the two should form one of the best dynamic duos in the league year after year.
