Traded to the Raptors from the Orlando Magic at the trade deadline in 2016-17 season, Ibaka endeared himself to the organization and its fans as a hard-nosed defender who would not back down from any challenge. Many loved the his blue collar nature, as he would often be found in the middle of any skirmish on the court - standing up for his teammates, or just stirring the pot. Ibaka was an integral member of the 2018-19 Raptors NBA Championship, sparking them off the bench with timely scoring and defense.
He embraced the city. The culture. The team.

He had edge. Attitude. Personality.
The fashion. The scarf. The ART.
The title. The ring.
Tough to see him go.

Ibaka will now reunite with How Hungry Are You? guest and 2nd Team All-NBA player Kawhi Leonard, as the Clippers have now swiped two players from the Raptors over the last two off seasons. While this is a solid basketball move for the Clippers and Ibaka, one cannot help but think what this will do for him off the court, as he has an excellent social media presence due to his popular YouTube channel and Twitter page. Look for Ibaka to increase his Q-Rating in Tinseltown and help the Clippers advance further into the playoffs, possibly even a title.
