Knicks Head Coach Wants 'Win-Now' Trades
The New York Knicks recently named Tom Thibodeau their head coach and the team's new bench boss has one thing on his mind...winning!
According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, Thibodeau is pushing for Knicks management to pull the trigger on some moves that are going to make the team better immediately.
The Knicks are in a rare position for NBA teams this offseason as they currently sit with open cap space. They are one of a few teams who have the luxury of free spending and they've already been linked to a couple free agents including unrestricted guard, Fred VanVleet.
The team also holds one player option on forward Bobby Portis, which could potentially free up an additional $15.8 million.
Look for a Knicks trade to be finalized as earlier as next week when teams are open to complete trades. Who they acquire, at this point, is anyone's guess.
