The Minnesota Timberwolves took care of some in-house business as the team has signed restricted free-agent Juancho Hernangomez to a three-year contract.

Hernangomez can't wait to get next season started in Minnesota after the team re-acquired point-guard Ricky Rubio. The two have been teammates numerous times for the Spanish national team and are close friends.
Hernangomez gives the T-Wolves an option at the three or four, and has come out of nowhere after not doing much for the Denver Nuggets before making his way to the Timberwolves via trade. Last season in 14 games for Minnesota, the 25-year-old averaged a career high 12.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. The production came after he saw a spike in his minutes, appearing in a career high 29.4 minutes per game.
Robert Covington was traded for two 1st round picks at the deadline -- No. 17 and No. 22.

No. 22 -- traded for Malik Beasley (4 yrs, $60M) + Juancho Hernangomez (3 yrs, $21M)
No. 17 -- traded w/ James Johnson for Ricky Rubio, Leandro Bolmaro + Jaden McDaniels (functionally) https://t.co/47ZunBKp5s
The Timberwolves will be a wildcard team in the western conference after the Rubio trade, drafting Anthony Edwards first overall, and bringing the rest of the band back together.
