The New Orleans Pelicans are showing their cards as the team is openly shopping guard Jrue Holiday. This is according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

The report also references the Denver Nuggets as a potential suitor as the Pelicans and Nuggets have held discussions since the playoffs concluded. The Nuggets see Holiday as a perfect fit to take off defensive pressures on star point-guard Jamal Murray.

Holiday is one of the best defenders in the league, regardless of the position. The two-time all defensive team select finished last season with 19.1 points per game, 6.7 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals. Huge numbers across the board that any contender could use to get them over the hump.

With two-years left on his deal, including a player-option in 2021-22, Holiday has become one of the hottest commodities on the market.
