Philadelphia 76ers Lock Up GM, Elton Brand
Duke alumni, Elton Brand had himself quite the career on the court, and it turns out he's making a name for himself off of it. The Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly extended Brand's contract as the general manager of the team, and he will be sticking around Philly for a few more years.
The deal is believed to be for three seasons, and comes as the team has also hired Daryl Morey as President of Basketball Operations from the Houston Rockets. This should give Brand a moral boost to know regardless of Morey coming in, he's still a valued piece to the organization. The 76ers have been trying to land Morey for years, so let's see what kind of tandem they can become together for the team.
Brand has been in the role since September of 2018, and now has two new faces in the office with Morey and new 76ers head coach, Doc Rivers.
Now let's see how many new faces they end up with on the court....
