Report: League Executives Already Know Who Is Going First Overall
The Minnesota Timberwolves are officially on the clock and hold the number one selection at the NBA draft later this month. While the team has fielded many trade calls from a variety of teams, if they keep the pick, one name is expected.
LaMelo Ball.
According to Jonathan Givony of ESPN, multiple league executives around the NBA are under the impression the T-Wolves will be selecting LaMelo Ball with the first pick.
Givony is also reporting that the Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder and the Detroit Pistons have been the most active trying to trade for the pick. At this time, it appears the Timberwolves are content with keeping the pick and adding Ball to the duo of Karl Anthony-Towns and D'Angelo Russell.
Ball comes to the NBA in rare fashion from Australia where he averaged 17 points per game, 6.8 assists and 7.6 rebounds in 12 games.
And with the first pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves select....
