Report: Raptors and NBA Pushing For Games in Toronto
All the Toronto Raptors want to do is play basketball next season and as it stands right now, they don't have a clue where their 'home' games will take place. While it's been previously reported Kentucky and Kansas City are options, the team and the NBA would prefer Canada be kept as home base. Nashville has also become a potential landing spot.
According to NY Post's Marc Berman, the NBA and representatives of the Raptors are working with health officials in both the United States and Canada to work out the logistics of what exactly is needed for the team to play games in Toronto.
With the Canadian protocol that calls for all travelers from other countries to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival, the new rapid testing through the airports should help their cause.
The team awaits more information from the federal government on the finalized plan.
The season begins on December 22nd.
