The CJ McCollum Trade Rumors Are Heating Up

CJ McCollum of the Portland Trail Blazers is one of the best 'second options' in the league, as him and Damian Lillard have been holding things down for seven seasons. While that doesn't appear to be changing any time soon, McCollum's name has come up recently in some trade chatter.

On the latest episode of Talkin' Blazers podcast, hosts Channing Frye and Dan Sheldon discussed what a McCollum trade might look like, and to give you an idea, expect to pay to the nines if you want C-Mac on your team.

If you want CJ McCollum and somebody, you’d have to give me Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart… That’s what I see CJ’s value as - Channing Frye

 

This isn't the first year where McCollum's name has come up as one of the players in the league who could easily be his own #1 option. At this point no deal is likely though.

McCollum averaged 22.2 points per game last season and in 481 games, has a career average of 18.5 ppg.
