Free-Agent Jeff Teague Ready For Next Move
Jeff Teague is a free-agent and has one thing on his mind...winning. The point-guard is one of the better ones on the open market and he's made it clear he doesn't care if he starts or comes off the bench, he just wants to play a big role on a playoff bound team.
Teague, who spent last season between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Atlanta Hawks recently spoke with some media and had this to say about next season:
Honestly, I just want to go to a team where we're playing to win. I want to win. Like you've said, I've been to the playoffs for the first nine years of my career. That's all I know is winning, competing, and trying to get to that ultimate goal of a championship. That's what I want to play for is to win.
If that's starting or coming off the bench, I just want to play a significant role in winning. That's really it for me. I know if I get a chance to play and compete, I'm going to play well.
Teague averaged 10.9 points, 5.2 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game last season between the two clubs and thinks he still has a ton of game left. Once an all-star in 2015, Teague wants to compete for a championship, by any means necessary.
The 11-year veteran has made close to $100 million in his career, it won't come down to money, just wins.
