Trevor Ariza & Delon Wright on the Move in 3-Team Trade
Trevor Ariza had an interesting week. He started it as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers, and on Monday was dealt to Houston, only to be flipped on a draft-night deal to the Pistons. As we mentioned in 2020 NBA Draft: Winners & Losers, the Pistons could use Ariza as a solid veteran presence for a young team and/or trade bait. It appears the latter is true, as he was sent to OKC along with Justin Jackson as part of a three-team trade that included Delon Wright and James Johnson.

Wright is heading to the Pistons, who will be looking for him to push newly drafted point guard Killian Hayes. They're also hoping they get the productive Delon Wright from the 2nd half of the 2018-19 season, where he averaged 12.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 5.8 apg for the Memphis Grizzlies.
Johnson, who holds a black belt in karate, was sent to the Dallas Mavericks to add defense and toughness. He also holds value as an expiring contract for a team that is looking to spend money next offseason.
James Johnson is a second-degree black belt and is undefeated in 7 MMA matches. He also has a 20-0 kickboxing record.
