Celtics' Kemba Walker Undergoes Stem Cell Injection
Kemba Walker will be taking it easy over the holiday season and won't be returning to basketball activities for a few weeks, after undergoing a Stem Cell injection in his left knee. The team will re-evaluate his progress in January and determine if he's game-ready or not.
Celtics guard Kemba Walker’s game availability will be updated in first week of January. He is expected to resume on-court activities early this month, after receiving a stem cell injection in his left knee and a strengthening program to prepare for the upcoming season.

Walker appeared in 56 games last regular season and finished the year averaging 20.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. The UCONN product knocked down 38.1% of his threes which was the second highest percentage of his career.
There were some talks this offseason the Celtics were offering Walker to several teams along with their three first-round picks to try and acquire a superstar, but appears nothing materialized.
For now Walker remains with the Celtics, and the team awaits his comeback from his injection.

Practice and preparation lead to big moments. That 2011 run with @UConnMBB fueled my career. Thanks @PlayersTribune and @NationalGuard for the opportunity to share this. #NationalGuard #PaidPartner #ad pic.twitter.com/7fMIZ7AvA0
