New Video Reveals Raptors Tried Hard to Draft Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2013
The Toronto Raptors didn't have a draft pick entering the 2013 NBA draft, but that didn't mean they necessarily wanted to leave empty handed. A new video has surfaced from their 'Open Gym' series, that goes behind the scenes with the organization.
In this video you will see team President, Masai Ujiri and general manager, Bobby Webster working the phones before the draft, trying to get Milwaukee and Minnesota to bite on a move. They also had a pretty good feeling who they were going to draft, and which player was going to develop faster than any other player eligible for the draft.

Will Ujiri and Webster get another shot at landing Giannis? That's to be determined. Keep an eye on December 21st, we know the two Raptors executives will certainly be.
