Video: Zion Williamson Ready to Dominate the NBA
Zion Williamson is fully healthy and ready to take over the NBA. The super-sophomore wasn't able to showcase as much as he'd like his first year in the league and because of injuries, Williamson was on a tight minutes restriction from his coaching staff in New Orleans.
The restrictions have been lifted and Zion has been freed to take over late in games for the Pelicans.
Zion spoke with the media following the game and had this to say about getting back to dominating games:
It felt great to be out there for extended stretches. It was great to experience that again. It was a different feeling for sure. I think I was only able to finish a game maybe three, four times last year. ... When the clock struck zero, I was almost like, 'Wow, it's been a while.
Williamson logged over 33 minutes against the Miami Heat and lit up the stats sheet. Look for Williamson to be in the conversation for most improved player when the season is done and expect the Pelicans to sneak into the playoffs this season.
