Following the Spurs brief appearance in the bubble, White had surgery in August to correct a dislocated second toe, and unfortunately for Spurs fans, that same toe is now injured again.

The Spurs have now taken two gambles on players that were injured during the re-signing process, as they inked Dejounte Murray to a 4-year, $64M deal prior to the start of last season while Murray was recovering from a torn ACL.
Hopefully this time around White won't need 4+ months of rehab, and will make a speedy recovery.
