Video: James Harden Makes History in his Brooklyn Nets Debut
James Harden has arrived in Brooklyn and it didn't take him long to make history in a Nets uniform. The superstar was the first player ever to record a 30-point triple-double in his debut with a new team.
Is that good?
The Nets beat the Orlando Magic 122-115 and now are 8-6 on the season, moving them to 5th in the eastern conference and they are likely only going up from here.
As for Harden he was only the seventh player to manage a triple-double in a team debut, and he also set the Nets franchise record for most assists by a player in their first game with the franchise.
Harden had this to say about his first game and what you can expect from him, Kevin Durant and the rest of his Nets teammates:
When you're playing with really, really good players, it's pretty easy (to build chemistry). For me, I just gotta learn reads, learn where guys like the ball, just learn our personnel individually. Once I get that, the turnovers are cut down, and I'll be more efficient. Once we're on the court together, it's going to be scary hours.
