Asking Price for PJ Tucker Revealed
The Houston Rockets are not done making moves this season and from all accounts it sounds like PJ Tucker is the next player to get shipped out. So far this season the 35-year-old veteran has appeared in 18 games for the Rockets and is averaging 5.3 points per game, along with pulling down 4.6 rebounds and handing out 1.3 assists.
According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, there's a few teams with Tucker on their radars:
The word on the street that I heard that has been floated [for his value]: they either want a first-round pick or three seconds, which I’ve never heard that arithmetic done. Three seconds … There are fifteen teams that are somewhat impacted from trading firsts and eight who can’t really trade any, sort of narrows the market. Most of the competitors, most of the teams who are playoff teams this year, are encumbered from trading their pick.
Windhorst went on to mention the Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors and the Philadelphia 76ers would all have some level of interest. Anyone else find it weird to see a team want second round picks? Always comes down to $$$, right?
Regardless of the numbers, Tucker is the perfect teammate who battles each and every night on the court. While every contending team could use him, not everyone has room. Let's hope it works out for everyone and we see Tucker ball out in the playoffs. In which jersey, at this point, is anyone's guess.
