Kings' Fox Calls NBA All-Star Game 'Stupid'
The NBA has done a fine job to operate this season during a pandemic and things like extreme health and safety protocols and rapid testing are much to blame. The league is trying to operate 'as normal as possible' and recently there's been talks about an All-Star game in Atlanta.
Well if you ask De'Aaron Fox of the Sacramento Kings, he'll tell you the NBA is stupid if they think the league should hold an All-Star game this season.
Here's what Fox recently told reporters:
I mean, if I'm going to be brutally honest, I think it's stupid. If we have to wear masks and do all this for a regular game, then what's the point of bringing the All-Star Game back? But obviously, money makes the world go round, so, it is what it is. If I get voted in, so be it. You know you get fined if you (don't play). If you're supposed to be in it, and you're not hurt, and you decide not to play, that's a hefty fine. So hell yeah, I'll play in it.
So Fox thinks it's stupid but if he gets voted in he will for sure be there and play....makes sense.
The discussions of an All-Star Game in Atlanta have also included an opt-out clause for players. While Fox won't be opting out, he'll need to be invited first...
