Knicks and Pistons Complete A Trade
As we reported last weekend, Derrick Rose would be on the move and the New York Knicks appeared to be the favorites. Turns out the deal is done. The trade sees Rose head to the Big Apple and Dennis Smith Jr and a 2nd-round pick heading back to Motown.
Rose gets reunited with head coach Tom Thibodeau for a third time with this trade after Thibs coached Rose with the Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves.
The move is a bit of a surprise for the Knicks as Rose isn't signed past this season and the 32-year-old hasn't been healthy for quite some time. He's managing to average 14.2 points and 4.2 assists which if on the court, will certainly help the Julius Randle's and RJ Barrett's of the world.
The pick heading to the Pistons originally belonged to the Charlotte Hornets.
Knicks fans are hoping it's this D-Rose shows up at the Garden....
