Rumor: Al Horford To Be Traded To Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics could be welcoming back a familiar face as the team has been linked via several reports to trading for big-man and one-time Celtic, Al Horford.
The 34-year-old veteran is enjoying himself a fine season with the struggling Oklahoma City Thunder, averaging 14.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, shooting 44% from the field and 37.7% from deep.
Horford's scoring at a much better clip this season and the Celtics are interested. He's played for coach Brad Stevens before and spent three seasons as a starter in Boston. With the Celtics trade exception via the Gordon Hayward move to Charlotte the team is able to take on additional salary at no cost.
The only downer about this potential deal for the Celtics is, even though they have a huge need for a big man who can score and rebound, Horford has two more years left on his contract paying him roughly $27 million a season.
Keep an eye on these two teams as Horford's name is being linked more and more each day.

We could use guys like IT, Terry Rozier, Jae Crowder, and Al Horford. I wonder what that would be like
