The Andre Drummond Trade Rumors Are Heating Up
Andre Drummond is a 27-year-old rebounding machine of the Cleveland Cavaliers and from all accounts the pending free-agent may end up finishing the season with the Cavs. The team has surprised so far this season and a lot of their success has to do with Drummond enjoying a career season.
The elite rebounder leads the league in boards and his 18.2 points per game is a career high. With his salary of $28 million this season, it's going to be extremely tough for the Cavs to get back fair value considering the financial aspect of the deal. It also may not be a wise decision for the Cavs to deal one of their best players when they're trying to make their own noise in the playoffs.

Even though the Cavaliers could potentially win a playoff round this season, there's a ton of rumors flying around that the trade calls will come in hot and heavy and they'll have no choice but to move him.
A lot of talk about him being bought out after the trade deadline, but at this point don't believe the hype. If Drummond is moved before the deadline, expect it to be for a protected first round pick and a couple contracts to match the money.
But if we were betting on his future, it's likely to continue in Cleveland....for now.

After watching Lakers/Celtics tonight, the trade of Andre Drummond from Cavs (28.7 mil) to Celtics for their 28.5 mil trade exception and a 1st round pick in 2021 is just a matter of time. @AmicoHoops

Lakers needs to get a serious center that Marc Gasol isn’t cutting it. If they Trade for André Drummond they might defend the title. #LakerNation
