Video: Jokic vs Giannis Produces Amazing Showdown
The Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets battled it out on Monday night and you know it was going to be entertaining when the best players were playing like the best players.
For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo was an absolute force with 30 points to lead the Deer to their fifth straight win, 125-112 over the Nuggets. Sure, Antetokounmpo had a bit of help as his running mate Khris Middleton finished the night with 29 points and a career-high 12 assists. The last tasty dish coming with just over a minute remaining to thread the needle for a big slam from Antetokounmpo.
As for the Nuggets, as per usual they were led by MVP candidate Nikola Jokic as the big man filled the stats sheet, going 35 points, 12 rebounds. This coming after a 50-point night at Sacramento last week.
Before the game the media caught up with Nuggets coach Michael Malone who had this to say about facing Giannis:
The athleticism, the ability to get downhill to use that Euro-step, to use his size, length and athleticism to live in the paint and finish at a high level. Are you telling me the marquee matchup isn’t Michael Malone and Mike Budenholzer?
