Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic Complete a Trade
The Boston Celtics have added a piece to their roster for the playoffs as they have acquired Orlando Magic forward Evan Fournier. Fournier is making $17 million this season and the Celtics were able to use their trade exception to make the deal work financially.

The 28-year-old pending free-agent heads to the Celtics averaging 19.7 points per game and is having his best season offensively. The Celtics have been trying for weeks to acquire a scoring threat from the wing and the 6'7 Fournier certainly fits the bill.
The Magic are in full rebuild mode and are piling on assets for the future.
Fournier has a $17.15M cap hit that will now get adjusted to $17.45M.

The $300K increase is a result of 2 sets of bonuses- 2nd rd. of the playoffs and Conf. Finals now being deemed likely (BOS reached both last yr).
BOS is $1.6M over the tax and need to open up a roster spot.
There was some talk that Aaron Gordon would also be a part of this deal but it appears the bidding war has reached a peak and the Magic are holding out for more offers closer to the 3pm eastern deadline.
