Magic Trade Vucevic to the Bulls in Blockbuster Deal!!!
The struggling Orlando Magic are rebuilding on the fly as the team has traded their best player and All-Star Nikola Vucevic and forward Al Farouq Aminu to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Wendell Carter Jr, Otto Porter and two first-round picks.
Here's the deal: The Bulls land Nikola Vucevic and Al Farouq Aminu for Otto Porter, Wendell Carter Jr., and two first-round picks. Huge addition for Chicago, who remains in pursuit of Lonzo Ball. The Magic are moving toward a rebuild now with Aaron Gordon deal on deck.

🏀N. Vucevic- $26M, $24M and $22M (no options)
🏀A. Aminu- $9.7M and $10.2M (Player)
To Orlando
🏀O. Porter- $28.5M
🏀 W. Carter Jr.- $5.4M and $6.9M (extension eligible)
2 first rd. picks
$4.2M trade exception created
The 30-year-old Vucevic is having a monster season, averaging 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists. He's signed for two more seasons at $24 and $22 million respectfully.
This deal signals an Aaron Gordon trade should be following later today before the 3pm eastern deadline as the Magic weren't initially shopping Vucevic and Gordon was the more 'primary' target. That changed when offers like this started to role in.
More to come as the Magic get younger and are not finished! Porter is a pending free-agent who likely won't be re-signed in Orlando. The big piece is the 21-year-old Carter Jr and considering he's almost already averaging a double double, Magic fans should be excited about his future.

Chicago's leadership -- Arturas Karnisovas, Marc Eversley and Billy Donovan -- wanted to bring on productive, serious-minded veteran player to be a cornerstone for the Bulls. They get one with All-Star center Nikola Vucevic, who's been a pillar with Orlando.
