Brooklyn Nets Sign LaMarcus Aldridge
The band just got another member and now the Brooklyn Nets are ready to orchestrate a championship. Free-agent LaMarcus Aldridge has signed in Brooklyn after being bought out by the San Antonio Spurs, giving the Nets a loaded team of All-Stars.
Aldridge is a seven time All-Star who owns a career average of 19.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks over the course of his 15-year career with the Spurs and Trail Blazers.
This season for the Spurs it's been an up-and-down year for the big-man as he's managed to average 13.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 21 games. The team decided to mutually part ways and hence he was bought out after a trade could not be facilitated before March 25th at 3pm.
A starting five of Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge is scary good and if they can stay healthy heading into the playoffs will be a huge problem in the East. The Nets now have a combined 41 All-Star appearances on their roster.
Is that good?
