The Denver Nuggets and Cleveland Cavaliers completed a deal on deadline day as the Nuggets are acquiring JaVale McGee from the Cavs for Isaiah Hartenstein and two future protected second-round picks.
The Nuggets were in the market for a backup to Nikola Jokic and have landed on McGee who brings in championship experience and comes back for another stint in Denver.

The Cavs are expected to be very busy today as they continue to talk to teams on Andre Drummond as well. Appears at this point they are headed for a bit out but that could change quickly today once moves start coming down the pipe.
So far this season the 33-year-old McGee is averaging 8.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in 33 appearances. The Nuggets are also in the market for Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon, so hang tight cause some more moves are on the way!
The McGee $4.2M expiring contract will fit into the $9.5M trade exception that Denver has.
