Detroit Pistons Reject Sacramento Kings' Trade Offer
Trade winds are blowing like crazy across the NBA as the deadline to make a move is this Thursday. Two teams that have already been discussing moves include the Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the Pistons rejected the Kings' offer of Marvin Bagley III for rookie wing Saddiq Bey.
Bagley has battled injuries so far in his career but when he's been healthy and receiving consistent minutes, he's been a double double threat. He's currently out with a broken left hand, however, so far in his 112 game career he's averaged 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds.
As for Bey, he's been a huge bright spot so far for the Pistons and is one of the many reasons the team bought out Blake Griffin, so he could receive more minutes. The 19th overall pick from the last draft is averaging 10.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game, playing about 24 minutes a night. He's also shooting 38.6% from deep.
Both players are the same age and some around the league are surprised the Pistons would say no to this deal. They obvious see something in Bey or have limited interest trading for the oft-injured Bagley.
Keep an eye on these two teams as they are expected to make moves before the deadline.
