Rumor: Austin Rivers to the Milwaukee Bucks
Austin Rivers was dealt on deadline day and was soon let go by his 'new' team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. The free-agent guard is now free to sign with any team of his choice and from all accounts it sounds like he's headed to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Rivers was supposed to be an impact guard for the Knicks but unfortunately fell out of favor with the coaching staff and never could find inconsistent minutes. The team traded him to OKC as part of a three team deal last Thursday.
The 28-year-old is averaging 7.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists through 21 games so far this season. Quite the turn of events for Rivers after signing a three-year, $10-million contract with the Knicks this past offseason.
The last two seasons were not guaranteed on the deal, and now he'll sign for the remainder of the season in Milwaukee.
