Rumor: Larry Nance Jr to be Traded by Cleveland
According to multiple reports, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been fielding trade calls on forward Larry Nance Jr. The Cavs are expected to be one of the busiest teams leading up to the March 25th trade deadline.
There's been a ton of interest in the 28-year-old who is signed for the next two seasons making a reasonable amount at $10.6 million next year and $9.67 million in 2022-23.
So far this season the 6'7 power forward/center has appeared in 19 games and is averaging 9.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game while shooting 48.3% from the field and 38% from deep.
The interest in Nance is headed by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Point-guard D'Angelo Russell is a close friend of Nance's and thinks pairing him with Karl-Anthony Towns could do the teams wonder. The T-Wolves need to stay healthy if they want to reach any of their potential.
Other teams interested include the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers and New Orleans Pelicans. According to the reports, one team has offered multiple late first-round draft picks.
Expect Nance to be moved sometime over the next two weeks, whether he likes it or not.
Hope everyone is having a happy Friday..... except those people that keep putting me in their mock trades
