San Antonio Receiving Multiple Trade Offers
According to several reports the San Antonio Spurs have received trade calls on several of their veteran players. These include DeMar DeRozan, Patty Mills, Rudy Gay and Trey Lyles.
The Spurs are right in the thick of things in the western conference so even though the veterans listed are pending free-agents, it's unlikely at this point the team moves on from them. With the trade deadline only three weeks away it's going to take a total collapse for Spurs' management to consider any drastic changes.
The one player to watch the most here is DeRozan. The 31-year-old is making $27.7 million this season and is having himself a fine campaign. 'Deebo' is averaging 20.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and a career high 7.3 assists per game.
Teams that have contacted the Spurs regarding DeRozan's services are believed to include the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks.
With over $52 million in cap space next season lined up, don't expect the Spurs to take on any additional salary passed the end of this season. The team is likely to stay status quo, although if the right offer comes along with a legit young stud parlayed with a draft picks, anything could happen.
