Video: 76ers Joel Embiid Goes Down With Nasty Leg Injury
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is headed for an MRI to have his left knee evaluated after the big-man fell awkwardly on Friday night against the Washington Wizards.
There certainly was a hyperextension however it's not known at this time if there was any ligament damage which would shelve Embiid, likely for the rest of the season. The 76ers are obviously holding their breath as Embiid's MVP performance this season is the reason the team stands a chance in the playoffs.
Embiid refused to use the stretcher that was brought out to the court for him and limped down to the locker room on his own power after he laid on the court for several minutes.

ESPN Sources with @ramonashelburne: Philadelphia Sixers star Joel Embiid's MRI showed no structural damage to his left knee, just a bone bruise. ACL and meniscus are fine. No timeline yet on a return.
