Karl-Anthony Towns Touts Anthony Edwards as Rookie of the Year
KAT on Edwards: "He's the Rookie of the Year. I don't know what else to say. He's proven he's the most talented player in the draft class. ... He's the best of the best."

Edwards was just named Rookie of the Month in the Western Conference, while the number one contender for the ROY LaMelo Ball won the Eastern Conference's award - despite going out on March 20th with a wrist injury that will keep him sidelined for the rest of the year.

Edwards is in pretty exclusive company for the month of March, as he averaged 24.2 ppg in 13 games, which placed him 3rd amongst teenagers in NBA history for monthly scoring - only behind Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James.
Most PPG in a month by a teenager in NBA history (min 10 games):

With 21 more games remaining in the schedule, and his main rival on the sidelines, can Edwards steal the ROY away from LaMelo? I think if Edwards can continues to put up 23+ ppg for the rest of the season, and bring his shooting percentages up, he has a great chance. If he can somehow find a way to put a 50-point performance on the board and top his season best of 42 points, it would really put him over the top.
