Nets' Kevin Durant Issues Apology For Recent Released Messages
Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant knows he shouldn't have said what he said in a flurry of emotional messages and for that he's sorry. Durant recently had some direct messages leaked out by a C-List actor and he's not proud about what he said.
Durant met with the media on Thursday and had this to say about the whole situation:
I’m sorry that people seen the language that I used. That’s not really what I want people to see and hear from me, but hopefully I can move past it and get back out on the floor.
Durant is currently rehabbing his hamstring as he tries to get fully healthy for the Nets playoff push, which looks like they could be on their way to the Finals this season. Durant commented on how his rehab was going and how he doesn't want to push it too early:
So, one of those things where I’m not feeling a ton of pain, but it’s just like you don’t want to force one of these injuries, go out there and make it worse. In my mind I’m just like, ‘I can play,’ but then it’s also like you’ve got to be smart and cautious with this type of injury. So just try to be patient with it all and just rehab as hard as I can, and I’ve been through this situation before so I just try to take myself back to that place.
Look for Durant back on the court in the next couple of weeks as the Nets are going to have to build some serious chemistry awfully quickly as he, Kyrie Irving and James Harden have only played together seven times and now with LaMarcus Aldridge in the mix, head coach Steve Nash has some work to do.
