Steph Curry Stays Hot, Scores 42 Points in Three Quarters

One game after surpassing Wilt Chamberlain as the Warriors all-time leading scorer by dropping a 53-piece on the Nuggets, Steph Curry stayed hot and lit up Oklahoma City with 42 points - in only 3 quarters of work - as the Warriors demolished the Thunder 147-109. The Warriors ran away with the middle of the game, as they had a 39 point 2nd quarter followed by a ridiculous 50 point explosion in the 3rd stanza.

Curry shot an incredibly efficient 14/20 FG, including 11/16 3P and also chipped 8 assists and 6 rebounds. It's safe to say that Chef Curry simply cannot be stopped at the moment - and the Warriors need as much of his scoring as they can get. They also need Draymond Green to keep playing the role of point-forward to perfection. Green had a 12 point/10 rebound/16 assist triple-double, with many of those dimes falling Curry's way. However, as important as Green is to the Warriors, they will only go as far as Curry can take them, and with 29 3-pointers over his last three games, he set an NBA record for most 3's in a three game set.

Curry is now sitting at 30.7 ppg on the season, with only Bradley Beal ahead of him at 31.0 ppg. If Steph can somehow stay hot, he has a legitimate chance to nab Beal for the scoring crown this year.
