Video: Aldridge Shines in Debut as Nets Blow Out the Hornets
The Brooklyn Nets are going to be a serious problem for any team trying to get out of the eastern conference. The team showed off freshly signed center LaMarcus Aldridge on Thursday night against the Charlotte Hornets and the veteran big-man looked stellar.
Aldridge finished the night with 11 points, nine boards and six assists, showing off all elements of his game. He started at center and looks like he could be the final missing piece for a team that's absolutely loaded with talent.
The Nets were without superstars James Harden and Kevin Durant and it didn't matter. They showed off their depth as Aldridge and Jeff Green led the way, as Green finished the night with 21 points. Meanwhile Landry Shamet returned from a five-game absence and chipped in with 17 points.
The team was also missing Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, who were given the night off. Here's everything you missed as the Nets routed the Hornets 111-89:
