Video: Andre Drummond Leaves Injured in Lakers Debut
Not the debut Andre Drummond or the Los Angeles Lakers were hoping for as the newest Laker went down with a nasty toe injury during Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Drummond left the game with what was called a 'toe contusion' as Bucks center Brook Lopez stepped on his foot and basically took Drummond's toe nail right off his toe. Painful as hell, the 27-year-old center was unable to remain in the game.
The freshly minted Laker managed to play 14 minutes in his first game in purple and gold, scoring four points and recording one rebound and two assists. He left the game at the 7:55 mark of the third quarter and as mentioned, did not return.
Here's the play that knocked Drummond out of the game as the team hopes he doesn't end up missing extended time as they need to get him up to speed on their systems:
