Video: Atlanta Hawks Bit By The Injury Bug
The Atlanta Hawks are trying their best to stay in the playoff picture in the eastern conference and the team will have to try to win their next stretch of games without forward John Collins.
Collins will miss at least the next week and potentially longer with an ankle sprain and bone bruise. The injury occurred during the Hawks recent matchup against the Phoenix Suns after Collins stepped on teammate Clint Capela's foot.
So far in 47 games, the pending restricted free-agent has averaged 18.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game.
Collins is expected to be re-evaluated in roughly 10 days so expect him to miss at least the team's next five games because of this play:
