Video: Jaylen Brown Drops 40, Sets Boston Celtics Franchise Record

Jaylen Brown was a one man show on Thursday as the Boston Celtics star scored four points in the final minute to help the Celtics hold-off a rally from the Los Angeles Lakers, winning 121-113.

Brown dropped 40 on the Lakers including going 13 for his first 14 attempts including three 3's. Good thing he did because Brown wasn't getting much help from his supporting cast and the Celtics were able to barely hang on after leading by 27-points at one time in the fourth quarter.

The Celtics received 15 points a piece from Marcus Smart and Payton Pritchard, meanwhile fellow superstar Jayson Tatum had a quiet night, scoring 14 points. The Celtics have won five straight games.

For the Lakers, they continue to try and get healthy, playing once again with Anthony Davis and LeBron James. A bright spot about Thursday's game was the fact the team welcomed back fans to the Staples Center, hosting 1915 fans for the first time since the pandemic started. One step at a time!

Two historic NBA franchises, nothing better:
