Video: Nets' Kevin Durant Leaves Game With Thigh Injury
The Brooklyn Nets can't stay healthy and it's starting to become an issue leading up to the playoffs. Sunday night saw Kevin Durant leave the game against the Miami Heat after suffering a left thigh contusion in the first quarter.
The injury occurred when Durant made contact with Heat forward Trevor Ariza while taking the ball to the rack. He was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game as the team is trying to be cautious heading down the stretch of the regular season.
The Nets were already as careful as ever with their superstar as Durant hasn't been playing back-to-back contests. While he only played four minutes, Durant somehow made an impact, knocking down three-for-three on his jumpers, finishing with eight points.
The Nets have a three-headed monster with Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, however the three of them haven't shared the court very much. A big reason being Durant's already missed 23 games with a hamstring injury.
This is certainly not going to help the cause:
