Anthony Davis Takes the Blame for Game 1 Loss
The Los Angeles Lakers lost 99-90 to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday in Game 1 of their playoff series and Lakers forward Anthony Davis wanted to make one thing clear...this one was on him.
The Lakers superstar was as candid as ever post-game and had this to say to the media:
No way we're winning a game, let alone a series, with me playing the way I played. This one is on me. I know I'll be better. I know we'll be better in Game 2
Davis was not his usual self on Sunday, only scoring 13 points. Averaging 28.8 ppg during the regular season, everyone in the building knows he can play better so expect to see a different more agressive Davis in Game 2. His teammate LeBron James was quick to point out it's never on one guy and that he does love to see Davis putting that type of pressure on himself to produce.
The Suns may have won Game 1, but it's expected to be a long series. Look for the Lakers to come out flying in Game 2, led by an extra aggressive Anthony Davis.
