Atlanta Hawks Provide Injury Update on Cam Reddish
The Atlanta Hawks will be without forward Cam Reddish as he's expected to miss the opening round of the playoffs. Reddish is battling a right Achilles injury that's put a halter on the end of his regular season.
The rehab has been going well, but the leg still isn't strong enough for game action and this is something you can't mess with. The team expects him to be re-evaluated in roughly two weeks and go from there, but there's a chance this spills over into the later rounds, if the Hawks make it of course.
The Hawks had a great season and have made the playoffs for the first time since 2017. They clinched the 5th seed and have set themselves up to play the New York Knicks in the first round. The series begins on Sunday at Madison Square Garden.
Reddish hasn't played since February 21st. The Duke product averaged 11.2 points per game, and missed the final 42 regular season games. He's hoping his Hawks teammates can keep the team alive in time for him to see the court in these playoffs.
