Hawks' Trae Young Loves Playing the Villain
Every hero needs a villain and if you ask Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young, he's leaning to be the bad guy every time. The Hawks spoiled the New York Knicks return to the postseason and it was Young who capped off a big night with a game-winning runner.
The Hawks defeated the Knicks 107-105 as Young's late two came with only 0.9 seconds left on the clock. Young got the crowd riled up after he proceeded to give 15,000 people 'the shush'. Young had this to say about what role he's more comfortable playing:
I definitely know the history of players coming in here and being hated. Like I said, I take that as a compliment, to be honest with you. Obviously, I'm doing something right if you hate me that much. I embrace it and try to focus on my team and trying to help my team win. At the end of the day, we'll get the last laugh if we do that.
Young went on to mention he knows it's only one game and the series is going to be tough. But you can't knock the hustle.
