Philadelphia 76ers Dwight Howard Suspended For 16th Technical
Philadelphia 76ers center Dwight Howard has been suspended by the NBA for receiving his 16th technical foul of the season. Howard has Udonis Haslem of the Miami Heat to thank after Haslem checked into Thursday's game and made his season debut with a chip on his shoulder.
Howard will be suspended without pay, as he was assessed a technical foul with 10:19 remaining in the second quarter of Miami's 106-94 win over the Sixers. The two were battling for a rebound and Haslem took exception. NBA rules require that any coach or player who collects 16 technical fouls in a season is suspended one game without pay. Howard will serve his suspension when the Sixers host the Orlando Magic on Friday evening.
Howard has earned $244M in his career. https://t.co/vRkKONebbK
